This world is a "village", and for practical purposes, it grows "smaller" every day!..... |
When Adventists sneeze, Catholics catch colds, and vice versa.........
And even the crowds in Times Square, who perhaps could care less,
begin to cough and blow their noses also!
Prophets, Seers, and Prophecies survive, are listened to, and
have an EFFECT to the extent that they fulfill some NEED,
aknowledged or unaknowledged, in the group to which they are sent.
Once this is accepted, and understood, some members in the group,
members of other perhaps competing or opposed groups, and the general
public can look for a much smaller area in the involved prophecies that may
impinge on THEIR FUTURE also....
This is based on the perhaps unproven proposition that there is a DIVINE
OTHER, and that ENTITIES outside of our normal human sphere are
interested in what happens to us, individually and in toto, and are involved
with prophets, seers, and prophecies....
To debate the existance of GOD, gods, angels good and bad,
the usefulness of prophecy, and the credentials of prophets
and would-be prophets cannot be done appropriately on this
WEB-SITE, and to attempt it would be folly!
What we will assume is that there is indeed a DIETY, be this "He" or They,
and that in this Diety there exist differientiated interests and purposes,
one of which is PROPHECY, and that one of the purposes of PROPHECY
is to effect the behavior of large groups of humans.......
To be successful, these humans must listen to the prophecies and believe them...
To some extent, the language of the prophecies must play to the prejudices
and previous beliefs of the groups involved....some of which may be irrational,
paranoid, counter-productive, and potentially damaging to the human race
as a whole..........
To the extend they support these BAD and perhaps TOTALLY IN ERROR
ideas, the prophecies are FALSE PROPHECIES and the prophets who made
them FALSE PROPHETS!........
Does this mean GOD did not ordain and authorize these prophecies
and these prophets?.....
I don't think so!....The Bible gives a number of examples of FALSE PROPHECIES
authorized by the God of the Bible!
The "Jonah" principle. Jonah suspected God would not destroy
Nineveh in 40 days, tried unsuccessfully to avoid giving this message,
and was forced to give it anyway....Does this mean Jonah was not
God's prophet? Hardly!
Was Jonah a "FALSE PROPHET"? Technically, yes...
Nineveh was NOT destroyed at the time Jonah prophesied....
God, however, wanted Nineveh to REPENT, not be destroyed,
so Jonah was God's VERY SUCCESSFUL "false prophet,"
and Jonah's feelings and reputation were of minor concern......
One of my purposes here in placing ELLEN WHITE's
prophecies, a few of them, in close proximity to the
FATIMA III prophecies, is to show the similarities,
and that Fatima III is couched in the same terms,
and predicts the same problems as do Ellen White's prophecies,
and that Ellen White is predicting in one chapter of what appears
on the surface to be an extremely anti-Catholic book,
"The Great Controversy", a typical Catholic MIRACLE, or Appar-
ition, quite similar to one that happened in FATIMA in Portugal!
As a person blessed [or cursed] with some prophetic ability
or inspiration of my own, I will predict how this will all COME
TOGETHER in a shocking, and perhaps WORLD-SHAKING
way, on Friday night, December 31, 1999, at the Mount of Olives,
in Jerusalem, Israel!
The Seventh-day Adventist organization has no connection whatsoever with this
WEB-SITE and would quite likely diasagree with almost everything I have to say here, as
would any ordained minister or official of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
......This church will also officially deny a CULT mentality, that Ellen White is the only prophet
since Bible Times that was inspired by God, that anyone who gives prophecies that disagree
with Ellen White's prophecies in any way is a false prophet and inspired by evil angels, and
that many or perhaps most of Ellen White's prophecies were meant to be taken symbolically,
not literally........Individual church members may have a much different perception.
