......In 1990 as today, the Kurds were at war
with the Turkish government, so it was with
some difficulty I photographed a Kurdish man
with his hand on one of the ARK anchor
stones in his village not far from the mountains
of Ararat [Greater Ararat and Lesser Ararat].

bother to look things up know only the FLOOD
Story and Noah's ARK Story they heard in
Sunday School as a child, and think the only
AUTHENTIC Bible is the King James Version,
others are aware that there are other versions,
such as the RSV, the "Revised Standard
Version", that are CORRECTED every few
years...as Biblical scholars learn more by
RESEARCH of the real meanings of ancient
Hebrew words and Greek words.....At least
one of these modern Revised Bibles is now
willing to ADMIT that the ARK of NOAH
[Nuh'un Gemisi] was made of REEDS, not
WOOD.....Over a period of years, other
"guesses" were made in other Bibles...King
James Bible, Genesis 6:14 "Make thee an
ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make
in the ark, and shall pitch it within and with-
out with pitch.".......Oxford NIV Scofield Study
Bible...same verse "So make yourself an ark
of cypress wood....coat it with pitch inside and
out...." New English Bible, same verse..."Make
youself an ark with ribs of cypress; cover it
with REEDS and coat it inside and out with
tar..."
