Where in Bethlehem?

 

 There has been almost endless

speculation over the past 1800+

years as to where Jesus Christ

was actually born.

.....Although the "Church of the

Nativity" was supposedly built

over one of the many original

sites proposed, there are few

besides slavish believers in these

old traditions who actually are

confident he was born there.

Since one of the 4 Gospels say he was born in a stable behind

an Inn in Bethlehem, that supports this traditional site a bit...

However, there is no matching census in History that corresp-

onds to the time in which Christ was thought to have been born,

making Joseph's trip from Nazareth in far-away Galileee with

a nine-month's pregnant Mary to Bethlehem just to be present

for a Roman Census seem improbable indeed!

Every year about Christmas-time the same, or slightly varied,

versions of why it is we cannot know where or when Jesus was

born are taken out of moth-balls and aired on TV once more.

......However, such speculation and frustration is no longer

necessary unless you want to play that game, which many do,

since a MYTHICAL JESUS is much more valuable to them

than a REAL ONE.

 

 Actually, Jesus was born at the "Queen's House"

across the Wadi Qumran from the Monastery,

which was because of Essene purity regulations,

as close as Joseph's pregnant wife could come

to Qumran "heaven", the "New" Jerusalem.

The Queen's House was also one of the places where unmarried

women could come to give birth and give their unwanted babies

to the Essene monks, who would bring them up in celibacy never

to marry and have children, since their fathers were unknown and

they might not have even been Jewish.

The Queen's House was made of wood, and nothing remains to even

mark where it once stood, but it was approximately the spot where

the above picture was taken, so I have drawn in the background of

my simulated Newspaper, the twin marl cliffs of Qumran.

 

 It is only because the famous "Copper Scrolls" found

near Qumran and now housed in a museum in Amman

Jordan mention the "House of the Queen" that we know

there was such a place...Yet Matthew's Gospel says Mary and Joseph were

living in a house in the vacinity of Bethlehem, when the Wise men came calling

bringing gifts of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh [Matt. 2:11]....If indeed

treasure was stored beneath the "Queen's House", as the Copper Scroll says

there was, then there should be traces of gold in the soil there still... With my

molecular frequency detector I found such traces at the location I suggest!

How can Qumran be called Bethlehem?

Now that we have the Gospel Pesher we know that the Essenes

had a custom or habit of renaming places to correspond with

the function of that site, or the people who lived there. Since

King David's original home was Bethehem-up-the-hill, the

Royal Messiah's house at Qumran was another "Bethlehem".

 

Also, the Dead Sea could be called the "Sea of Galilee" because

Peter and Andrew fished "for men" here in the Dead Sea and

Peter and Andrew came originally from Galilee and spoke the

Galilean dialect.

 

Simon Magus was a Samaritan High Priest, so while he was the

major figure living at Ain Feshkha, this Essene site could be

called "Samaria".

 

And so, once it was determined that Jesus was eligible to be

the "David King" or Messiah, his birthplace could be called

"Bethlehem" wherever he was born!

However, in this particular case, Bethlehem is a lot more

appropriate than in the other cases...

The real Sea of Galilee is many miles north of the Dead Sea.

And the real Capernaum is also a very long ways from its

Qumran equivalent, Khirbit Mazin.

And the Qumran "Jerusalem" is 14 miles from the city

of Jerusalem for which it was named.

But Bethlehem is just up a long wadi from the Dead

Sea area, a wadi often traversed by shepherds,

and it is a historical fact that just such a shepherd

from Bethlehem

made the first of the modern Dead Sea Scroll

discoveries while chasing a lost goat.

 And so it was that a 7 + pound red-haired baby boy

was born to the Zealot Joseph and his 18 year old

betrothed Essene "Nun" [Virgin] in March instead of

September, just a bit further from Bethlehem than we

 

thought....There may have been a rather human slip-up here to account for this

"early" birth, but one cannot really "rule out" divine interference either, in the light

of modern abductions and impregnations in alien craft we now call UFOs.

There is more than a little chance that Jesus really did have

a "Father in Heaven", as had, according to Sumerian records,

the earliest humans.

Various happenings at the"Queen's House"

 

Mt. 2:1,2,9-12

 Gospel Pesher shows that the "Wise Men"

or Magi, a Samaritan group of Astrologers

among the Essenes, were the first to say

Jesus, Joseph's son, was legitimate, and

more important, support him with money.

Symbolized by GOLD, frankincense, myrrh.

 

Luke 2:4,6-20

 Actually, it was not until after the Roman

Census or TAX of 6 AD that the Shepherds,

the rest of the Essene leadership accepted

Jesus, played out as a Nativity Play [as now]

This took place at a Bar Mitzvah [2d birth].

 

The donkey at the Queen's House

Mt.21:1-11, Mk 11:1-10 etc.

 It was because animals, such as the ritual

donkey rode by priests and the David King

Messiah, were kept at the "Queen's House",

that it could be called "the MANGER"...

Purity laws at Qumran forbid that animals,

pregnant women, and possibly illegitimate

babies could stay at the monastery.

 One of the women who later stayed at "the Queen's House" was Mary Masgdalene. Indeed she stayed there on Good Friday, when Christ was crucified!

....Tragedy at the Queen's House

MIRIAM was only 18, but very, very pregnant.....These two

conditions were bad enough, but a third made the situation

almost unbearable. .....She wasn't married, and now that this

had happened, perhaps she never would be married.

Perhaps she would become only one of those cast-off women,

those women who only came out of their hovels at night hoping

to gain the temporary attention of some man who was on a

business trip without a wife, or just feeling lecherous.

 

Her betrothed, JOSEPH, had considered "putting her away",

but had been talked out of it, at least temporarily, by one of

his Essene superiors......If he knew for sure that her pregnancy

was his fault, he would certainly have not considered such a

radical course......But JOSEPH had not come near MIRIAM

in the ten months of their engagement, except to come by now

and then to say hello with plenty of witnesses around to vouch

for his good behavior.......By Essene custom, they were suppos-

ed to start a trial marriage last December, but by then MIRIAM

had already been pure (missed her periods) for four months.

 

Here it was early March, and what was supposed to be the new

"King David", the promised "Messiah of David" was about to

be born........The one who was supposed to be born in Holy

Tishri (September).........When Joseph asked his betrothed over

and over what had happened, all she could do was cry, and

mumble some nonsense about "an angel" that had made her

certain "promises"........And she wasn't really sure this had

not been in a vision or dream that this had happened.

 

What she couldn't tell Joseph, or even his Essene friends,

some of whom were good doctors and counsellors, was

about the blinding light she had seen before the vision or

dream, and the strange music she heard from time to time...

It was all so confusing, and so strange, and she couldn't

understand why it had to be HER it was happening to.

 

MIRIAM couldn't stay in the regular Essene women's

quarters after she started to "show". ......These were all

celibate women, virgins they were called, and a pregnant

woman was thought by the mother superior to be much

too much of a distraction to her flock.......So JOSEPH,

who was technically in charge of the "QUEEN'S HOUSE"

five stadia from the great Qumran Monastery, had arranged

for his betrothed to stay there.......It was about the only choice

he could make under the circumstances, but it was not one

to bolster MIRIAM'S morale.

 

This is where unwed mothers came from Jerusalem-up-the-hill

to give birth to orphans, who would be brought up by the

Essenes and never, never be allowed to marry......MIRIAM

soon caught on that this too would be the fate of her

soon-to-be-born child.......For she had no name to give this

child.........It would be, so far as the Essenes were concerned,

a "Lamb of God" or if one wanted to put the best face on

everything, a SON OF GOD....
