FIG TREES
It is CONVENIENT that the Softkey R subsidiary of The Learning Co, Inc
has TWO Trees not ONE in this ClipArt illustration, since there are TWO
major BIBLE CODES that have attracted a lot of attention since 1992.
ISRAEL is the FIG TREEof PROPHECY.....At least it is as presented to millions in an Evangelical
PROPHETIC SCHEME called "The 3 WICKED GENERATIONS of
ISRAEL"...taught and preached since 1948 by a multitude of Christian Preachers....

Although the first mention of FIG LEAVES is in Genesis, when Eve sewed together a number
of them to clothe her and Adam after they had sinned by eating the fruit of a perhaps mystical
"Tree of knowledge of GOOD and EVIL", the first PARABLE involving a FIG TREE is in
Judges chapter 9.
........"The TREES went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said
unto the OLIVE TREE, Reign thou over us." [The OLIVE TREE refused.....
"And the trees said to the FIG TREE, Come thou, and reign over us." [The
FIG TREE also refused...][As did the VINE, but the BRAMBLE accepted...]
Judges 9:7-15.
The VINE and the FIG TREE were often associated together in the Old
Testament Scriptures....as can be noted in Deut. 8:8, 1 Kings 4:25, Isa. 36:16,
Jer. 5:17; 8:13, Hoshea 2:12, Joel 1:7; 2:22, Amos 4:9; Hag. 2:19 and Zec.3:10.
One of the PLAGUES of Egypt inumerated in PSALMS 105 :33 is the
destruction of vines and fig-trees...."He smote their VINES also and their
FIG TREES; and brake the trees of their coasts.".....[In view of what J.R.
Church has discovered and published in his best-selling book " Prophecies
in the Psalms"...we might be in for some REAL TROUBLE in the Year 2005
AD....I have proved his Prophetic Theories at least to my own satisfaction].
Jesus Christ "destroyed" a FIG TREE in a story or "Miracle" in the
Gospels....[Modern FORM CRITICS will no doubt connect Psalms 105:33 with
this New Testament Story].....The same story is told with minor differences in
Matt. 21:19-21 and Mark 11:12-14, 20,21...."And on the morrow, when they
were come from Bethany, he [Jesus] was hungry: And seeing a fig tree
AFAR OFF having LEAVES, he came, if haply he might find any thing
thereon: and when he came to it, he found NOTHING BUT LEAVES;
for the TIME OF THE FIGS was NOT YET......And Jesus answered and
said unto it, No man eat FRUIT of thee hereafter FOR EVER. ....And
his disciples HEARD IT."............
.........And in the MORNING, as they passed by, they saw the FIG TREE
DRIED UP FROM THE ROOTS.....And Peter calling to remembrance
saith unto him, Master, behold, the FIG TREE which thou CURSEDST
is WITHERED AWAY."
NOW THAT WE HAVE BOTH THE OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW
TESTAMENT BIBLE CODES TO CONSULT AND COMPARE, WE
CAN SEE MUCH MORE HERE THAN THE EVANGELISTS SINCE 1948
HAVE SEEN.....BUT LET'S GO ON.......
The FIG TREE CONNECTION..............
Matt. 24:32, 33 "Now learn a PARABLE of the FIG TREE; When his
branch is yet tender, and putteth forth LEAVES, ye know that SUMMER
is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall SEE ALL THESE THINGS, know
that IT IS NEAR, even at the doors.".....
34 "Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION shall not pass,
TILL ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED."
35 "HEAVEN and earth shall PASS AWAY, but my words SHALL NOT
PASS AWAY...."
A .....40 YEAR.....GENERATION......

All PROPHETS and Evangelists are NUMEROLOGISTS, whether they will
ADMIT to it or NOT.....and the Christian "Prophets" of the last 160 years are
no exception.......Once Israel had been declared a "Nation" by the United Nations
in 1948.....All these people watching for Jesus Christ to return and make the
Christians the RULERS of HEAVEN while Israel RULES the EARTH looked
for a way to PROVE this was about to happen....in our life time....as as Jesus
had said in Matt. 24:34...."This GENERATION shall NOT PASS, till
all these things be FULFILLED."......The QUESTION they needed to know
the ANSWER to was....."HOW long is a GENERATION?"......They searched
the Scriptures....looking for Precedents.....and found their ANSWER! ...40
YEARS!.....Israel had spent 40 YEARS wandering in the WILDERNESS.
Numbers 32:13 "And the Lord's anger was kindled against Israel, and he
made them wander in the wilderness FORTY YEARS, until all that
GENERATION, that had done EVIL in the sight of the Lord, was
consumed."...Noting that it was ALSO 40 YEARS between Jesus's prophecy
of the DESTRUCTION of Jerusalem, approximately 31-34 AD, until Roman
Armies destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple, 70-74 AD....they preached that the
last "WICKED GENERATION" would last from 1948-1988....and that a
"SECRET RAPTURE" would occur on Sept. 11-13, 1988. ....To find out what
really HAPPENED on that DATE, and how these PROPHECIES were indeed
FULFILLED, but not in the "EXPECTED" manner......................................
